Student Travel Support

Financial assistance towards travel expenses for student authors from India, Nepal and Bhutan attending IPRECON 2027.

How Much

Travel Support Limits

Available only to student authors from India, Nepal and Bhutan. Delegates from other countries are covered by Student Housing Support.
Kerala 2,000

Or 3rd Class AC train fare — whichever is lower.

Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh 3,500

Or 3rd Class AC train fare — whichever is lower.

Rest of India 5,000

Or 3rd Class AC train fare — whichever is lower. Excludes the 7 North-Eastern states.

NE India, Bhutan & Nepal 7,500

Or 3rd Class AC train fare, or other means of transport — whichever is lower. Covers the 7 Sister States.

How reimbursement works

Support is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Reimbursement is provided after reaching the venue and completing the registration process, against original tickets and the declaration form. Apply early — allocation depends on available funds.

Before You Apply

Eligibility Criteria

01

Accepted paper & full registration

The applicant must have a paper accepted at IPRECON 2027 and must complete full conference registration before applying for Student Travel Support.

02

Active IEEE student membership

The applicant must be an active IEEE Student or Graduate Student Member (GSM), with valid membership status for the conference period.

03

IAS / PES membership priority

Priority goes to applicants holding valid IEEE IAS and/or PES memberships in addition to student membership.

04

No duplicate funding

Students already receiving travel support from a university or any other source are not eligible. Every applicant submits a declaration confirming no other travel support is being received.

Application Timeline

Step 01

Acceptance released

Applications open after the acceptance notification goes out on 31 July 2027.

Step 02

Instructions by email

Eligible participants receive detailed application instructions by email alongside the acceptance notification.

Step 03

Claim at the venue

Register, attend, then submit tickets and the declaration to claim reimbursement on site.
