Government College of Engineering Karunagappally (CEK) is a premier public institution of engineering and technology, located in the serene town of Karunagappally, in the north-western region of Kollam district, Kerala, India. Established in 1999 by the Government of Kerala, CEK is the second engineering college in Kollam district and the fourth under the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD).
IEEE Student Branch College of Engineering Karunagappally (STB03951) is one of the pioneering student branches in the IEEE Kerala Section, officially established as a recognized organizational unit on 13 May 2009.
Since its inception, IEEE SB CEK has been a powerhouse of student-led innovation, technical excellence, and impactful community engagement — a recipient of several prestigious global awards that testify to its outstanding contributions to the IEEE mission.
IEEE SB CEK has achieved unprecedented recognition on the global stage — the first and only student branch in the IEEE Asia-Pacific Region to win the IEEE MGA Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award for five consecutive years.
